Job Details

Overview:

Lift patients on and off beds; move patients to and from service and treatment areas and operating rooms using wheelchairs or moveable beds. Transport patients to various hospital departments before and after procedures as needed. Transport patients via wheelchair to private transportation vehicle after discharge. Listen carefully to instructions to get patients to the correct place in the easiest manner possible. In some facilities may transport deceased patients to morgue. Maintain logs documenting when a patient or medical related item arrives at the appropriate destination. Keep all information regarding patients confidential.



Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Prior experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED/TASC required
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Frequent heavy lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, lift, and walk without restrictions
  • Experience in a healthcare facility desirable

Schedule

  • The majority of positions we receive are part-time jobs.
  • All positions are in hospitals and nursing homes. These facilities are open 24 hours/7 days each week.
  • General shift availability:
    • Days (7a-3p or 8a-4p)
    • Evenings (3p-11p or 4p-12a)
    • Nights (11p-7a or 12a-8a)
  • Every other weekend is usually required for all positions.

COVID-19 vaccination is required.
