Overview
The Chesterfield Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Code Enforcement Inspector.
Responsibilities
Duties include both field and office responsibilities. This position receives, investigates and responds to ordinance violation concerns, complaints and questions from City Officials and the public. Requires a working knowledge of local county ordinances, property surveys, legal descriptions and knowledge of code enforcement principles.
Skill Requirements
Applicants must be able to traverse uneven, vegetated and sloping terrain. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds for a moderate distance. High school diploma or GED required. Certified Code Enforcement Officer or Associate Degree in related field plus 2 years of responsible public contact experience preferred. Must have a valid driver's license. A criminal record check and background investigations will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
Compensation
This is a full-time, non-exempt, positon with a starting salary of $50,291, (hourly wage $24.18).
