**Summary**

At Prairie Berry, were here to serve our guests. Thats difficult to do without clean dishes. The dishwasher/bus person is a vital link in the chain of Prairie Berrys positive customer experience. This person is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary conditions at the dishwashing station of the Kitchen, and making sure there are always clean dishes ready for the next guest. This job also requires clearing dishes from the tables in the dining area and patio. The person in this position is expected to interact graciously with any guests he or she encounters, and be a positive addition to the Kitchen team.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

* MUST work weekends and evenings

* Follows sanitation and serving procedures

* Assumes 100% responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware

* Load, run and unload dish machine

* Monitor dish machine water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle

* Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware

* Keep dish area clean and organized

* Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen

* Bag and haul kitchen trash and recyclables to dumpster

* Buses indoor and outdoor tables and prepares tables and eating area for next guest

* Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen staff or manager

**Qualifications and Skills**

* Is self-motivated, especially under pressure

* Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

* Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds

* Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 7 hours)

* Able to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for long periods of time
