The Security Officer is responsible for the security of the University, its property and may be scheduled to work on various shifts, holidays, and weekends. The primary hours for this position are Monday-Friday 11:30 pm-8:00 am (Saturday/ Sunday off). The position reports to the Shift Supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide customer service and security for the Midwestern University campus Direct and escort guests, as well as assist with patients. When necessary, assist with special events at Midwestern University Respond to any/all emergency/disaster situations and document necessary information Provide security for property, both existing and under construction Parking regulation enforcement. Conduct effective security patrols on foot and by vehicle to maintain the security of the campus and all buildings, identifying hazardous conditions, taking corrective measures to reduce and eliminate inappropriate behavior and contacting Glendale Police Department as needed.
