We are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to be responsible responsible for managing the organizations accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. This Accounts Payable Manager also provides support throughout the monthly and annual financial statement close process. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of accounts payable specialists and a purchasing coordinator.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable team, including processing invoices, verifying payments and reconciling accounts.

2.Manage a team of accounts payable specialists and purchasing, providing guidance, training and performance feedback.

3.Resolve discrepancies and issues related to invoices, payments and vendor accounts.

4.Prepare and review the agencies 1099 filing.

5.Prepare timely and accurate monthly journal entries.

6.Support month-end and year-end close process.

7.Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

8.Review and approve employee expense reports, petty cash and travel advance accounts.

9.Reconcile and prepare entries to expense IT Inventory monthly.

10.Record intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany accounts.

11.Prepare monthly indirect and cost allocation entries.

12.Assist the Director of Accounting with the preparation and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and process enhancements.

13.Prepare audit schedules as well as other analyses for the year-end audit.

14.Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree preferred, 4+ years of relevant experience may substitute.

Experience with federal & state grants & contracts preferable.

Excellent computer skills including Excel, and non-profit accounting software.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.

High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
