Title: Electro Mechanical Lab Technician
Location: San Francisco, CA / Mountain View, CA / Onsite role
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
* Looking for a lab technician with a mechanical background related to consumer electronics in a hardware R&D environment.
This lab tech will manage mechanically focused hardware labs, work with our internal mechanical engineering team, and drive responsibilities related to part fabrication, assembly, testing, and material management.
This person should be a highly motivated and independent individual, willing to learn and work with new technologies, equipment, and test procedures.
Requirements
* Take responsibility for lab management including, equipment purchases and setup, equipment maintenance and calibration, inventory and materials management, and other general lab maintenance
* Manage and drive lab expenses for supplies, equipment, and capital expenditures as well as enforce lab safety and compliance policies
* Experience with mechanical fabrication and test equipment including Instron, drop towers, basic machine shop equipment, and hand tools to perform maintenance, assembly, and setup of fixtures and consumer electronic devices
* Experience with SLA SLS 3D printers, including part creation, managing file logs, general maintenance, cleaning, and material loading
