Job Details
We are currently looking for a seasoned, detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of general ledger functions and advanced principles of accounting. Your chief goal will be to oversee the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, receivable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses
- Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Review and process expense reports and manage credit card transactions
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
- Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
