BrightFarms' fresh lettuce options, from classic greens to crunchy mixes and salad kits, are available in more than 3,700 retail stores across the East Coast and Midwest.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks that help support Managers and employees and contribute to the efficient operations of our Greenhouse in Yorkville, IL.

Specifically, you will:

* Assisting and managing daily office needs:

* Maintain long-term storage and protection of records

* Greet people entering and ensure proper check in

* Filing paperwork onto ADP and in paper files

* Inventory control and ordering supplies

* Tracking expenses

* Support Associates and Workforce

* Open requisitions for new positions and assist in recruiting function

* Manage and prepare new employee paperwork

* Organize training and celebration events for staff

* Communicate benefits information

* Manage ADP Workforce Now HRIS for accuracy

* Support compliance efforts in safety, food safety, and HR

* Maintain logs and communicate any issues

* Assist ILG and EHS in Workmans compensation and Injured employee return to work program

* Ensure that site leadership, employee supervisors or leads and injured employee complete Injury report form and Supervisors Investigation report

* Create and Manage site specific slack human safety channel "ILG Injuries"

* Maintain onsite, all paper work related to injured employees and also medical records of employees including vaccinations and other records related to work only

* Fill and report out (email) insurance claim form for injuries requiring medical care (EHS will assist in this and all other responsibilities)

The ideal candidate:

* Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

* Strong organizational skills including filing and time management

* Two years' experience in office skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Two years' experience in office skills

* Associates Degree in Business or Agriculture related capacity

* Human Resources education / experience; SHRM certification ideal

Working conditions / Environment / Travel / Schedule required

This position is forty hours a week with occasional overtime. 80% of job duties are in an office environment, 20% is in the greenhouse and head house.

Some Saturday hours required.
