Research Technician - In Vivo
W2 Contract
Salary Range: $72,800 - $79,000 per year
Location: Milpitas, CA - Onsite Role
Shifts: Sat-Wed, 10 am-6 pm; Wed-Sun, 6 am-2 pm
Job Summary:
You will join a cross-functional team in an environment requiring collaboration and communication across multiple departments. Strong communication skills will be required for our team's success as reporting is done electronically.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 1+ year(s) of active participation in the directional execution of in vivo studies in collaboration with investigators
- Proficient in performing in vivo procedures, including dosing administration (IP, SC, PO), body weight measurements, clinical observations, necropsy, blood collection (tail, submandibular, submental, etc.), and euthanasia
- Experience in collecting detailed experimental and animal health records using data collection software such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Pristima, Provantis, StudyLog, and Softmouse
- Experience in animal husbandry, including daily health checks, feeding and watering of animals, and cage changes
- Experience with breeding colony tasks, including tissue collection for genotype, mating, and weaning
- Good documentation practice in a non-GLP or GLP environment is preferred.
