Utilizing your mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, you ll perform a variety of systems integration equipment and/or process operations involving an application of technical skills. The Senior Manufacturing Operations Technician interprets engineering drawings and diagrams, notifies appropriate personnel for changes needed to the engineering configuration database and maintains/revises manufacturing work instructions in electronic instruction and reporting systems. ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As a Senior Manufacturing Operations Technician for General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) Precision Structures & Optics (PSO) located in Cullman, AL, you ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for performing hand deburring, lapping, and polishing operations to print specifications involving precision tolerances on Beryllium products for use in the most demanding applications, across the aerospace, defense, and nuclear industries. Our products are used in high performance sensing systems for targeting and acquisition, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, and are hardened for the battlefield environment.
