A Child's World Developmental Center - Langhorne, located 183 Bristol Oxford Valley Rd, Langhorne, PA 19047,is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachersto support the following age groups:

  • Toddlers
  • Preschool, Pre-K

To beQUALIFIEDfor this position, weREQUIRE each candidate be at least 18 years of age, have the ability to pass all background checks and have at least one of the following:

  • HS diploma OR GED AND 30 credit hours in early childhood education or related field
  • HS diploma OR GED AND 15 credit hours in early childhood education related field AND 1+ year of childcare experience
  • HS diploma AND Childcare Development Associate (CDA) OR Certified Childcare Professional (CCP)
  • HS diploma OR GED AND 2+ years of childcare experience
  • HS diploma OR GED AND PA School-Age Professional credential in elementary educator or child development AND 1+ years of childcare experience

Required Shift:Monday - Friday,full time hours

Compensation:$12-$14 per hour, based on education and experience

  • MainJob Responsibilities:

    Responsible for the supervision of school age childrenandmeeting the daily physical, emotional and social needs of the children in their care.

    • Responsible for driving children to and from school and occasionally for classroom field trips.
    • Arrange Lesson Plans and curriculum on a weekly basis in coordination with the monthly theme and that meet the developmental needs of the children and that meet the expectations of SACERS (School Age Care Environmental Rating Scales).
    • Responsible forestablishinga professional level of communication with each family member toprovidequality care for each child.On-going communication in all aspects relating to the children in their room with the parents and the Center Director is crucial for quality care.
    • Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
    • Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
