We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with over 5 years of experience to join our client's dynamic team at a rapidly growing private equity backed startup located in North Austin. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and growth of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong multi-entity accounting experience, solid knowledge of GAAP principles, and a proven track record of managing complex financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Maintain and enforce accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities.
- Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate and assist with external audits and tax filings.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
