QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma, equivalent (GED), or demonstrated proficiency through previous job experience and/or training in related performance responsibilities listed below
• Be able to read and interpret basic instructions
• The ability to lift at least seventy five (75) pounds is an essential job requirement
• Capable of physical exertion to manually lift, push, pull, bend and carry heavy objects and materials
• Capable of climbing ladders and doing above head work
• Must submit and pass background check
• HVAC Certifiation: Required to include possession of a Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification to legally handle refrigerants. General maintenance and repair to include working knowledge and experience with electrical, HVAC, and construction.

REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensures that quality of work is excellent
2. Report items to Director of Maintenance that are not compatible in performing tasks
3. Wears all safety paraphernalia while working
4. Keeps Director of Maintenance informed about condition of the buildings and grounds
5. Performs such yard keeping chores as grass cutting, tree trimming and the like, as necessary to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition
6. Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities as directed by the principal and/or Director or Maintenance
7. Keep sidewalks and parking lots clear of snow and debris
8. Maintain confidential nature of all school-related matters
9. Other tasks assigned by the Superintendent or designee

EMPLOYMENT: Twelve months. Salary to be determined by the School Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of support staff personnel.
