Knowledge and Certifications:Valid Driver s License.Supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to general maintenance (electrical, plumbing,
HVAC , carpentry) activities.Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials common to custodial activities.
Duties:
Directs the activities of evening/night shift maintenance, Campus Service Workers, and Quality Inspector of Campus Service Workers.Provide oversight and direction to direct reports and employees in the operating unit in accordance with the organization s policies and procedures.Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off, coverage for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling.Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, email, and regular interpersonal communications.Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals.Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures.Communicate regularly with other managers, supervisors, directors, etc. as needed to ensure effective two-way communications both within and outside of Facilities & Operations.Responsible for purchases as applicable, approving purchases for direct report departments and purchase card reconciliations per operational guidelines.Salary Range
