Job Details

Summary: The Dishwasher is responsible for the orderliness of the function space by the removal of all dirty glassware, china, silverware and/or paper supplies from the bussing trays, seating tables and stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned:

SETUP:

  • Assists with the unloading of the truck.
  • Assists with the set-up of the ceremony
  • Sets up the seating tables and chairs according to BEO instructions; this includes table linens, chair covers, candles, and/or table decorations.
  • Sets up the fruit and cheese presentation and coffee station (when requested).
  • Assists with the set-up of any other station (when requested).
  • Clears the floor of all excess equipment, boxes, and supplies.
  • Assists in the lighting of candles on the seating tables.
FUNCTION:
  • Assists with the hand passing of champagne or any other beverage to the guests as they arrive (when requested)
  • Serves food to all patrons throughout the function.
  • Replenishes fruit and cheese presentation and coffee station when necessary (if assigned).
  • Replenishes any other station (when requested).
  • Busses seating tables of all dirty glassware, plates, silverware, and/or paper supplies when needed.
  • Assists in the service of the wedding cakes to patrons.
  • Assists the hostess and bridal attendant in loading all gifts, flowers, and leftover food (when requested).
  • Transports all filled bussing trays to breakdown area.
BREAKDOWN:
  • Busses all seating tales of glassware, silverware, china, and/or paper supplies
  • Breaks down the fruit and cheese presentation (when assigned), making sure that all equipment is put back in its proper storage container.
  • Breaks down the coffee station (when assigned), making sure all equipment is put back in its proper storage container.
  • Breaks down any other station (when assigned).
  • Assures that all clean skirting are properly hung on hangers and properly stored.
  • Breaks down all seating tables, and places all linens (except rentals) in linen bags and transport to truck.
  • Places all candles and/or table decorations in the proper containers and transport to truck
  • Places all rental linens in one location, to be determined by Event Manager.
  • Assists with transporting equipment, food, and supplies to the truck.
  • Assists with the sweeping of the floor.
qualifications and education requirements:
  • One to two years of customer service experience required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Must have the ability to effectively and respectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to guests, clients, and fellow employees.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
