Description
Part-time, not to exceed 28 hours weekly
Hourly rate: $14.50
General Purpose of Position
Performs park patrol, investigation, traffic regulation and related park enforcement activities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Patrols park properties and responds to calls for assistance
* Performs regular patrol of parks to maintain order
* Summons ambulance and other emergency response vehicles
* Prepares reports of all activities
* Checks field and other facility lights and works with contractor to procure repair services
Assists with events and other festivals held in the parks
* Works as security manpower at special events including weddings and festivals
* Assists with rentals of park facilities
* Directs traffic during special events and festivals
* Undertakes community-oriented ranger work
* Maintains departmental equipment and supplies
* Coordinates with Police Department during emergency situations
* Performs other duties as directed
Requirements
Minimum age requirement of 21 years
Education and Experience
The person in this position must have a high school education or equivalent.
Licenses and Certifications
A valid driver's license is required
