Description

The Anaheim Convention Center (ACC) reigns as the largest exhibit facility on the West Coast, having hosted such large, well-attended events as the Winter NAMM Show, Disney's D23 Expo and Citrix Synergy. Originally opened in 1967, the ACC currently spans 53 acres and offers 1.6 million square feet of function space and many dynamic features. The ACC completed its seventh expansion in the Fall of 2017, providing an additional 200,000 square feet of flexible meeting space to our guests.

This is a part time position averaging 20-hours per week. A minimum number of hours is not guaranteed.

Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is highly desireable.

Essential Functions

The following functions are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed functions and/or may be required to perform additional or different functions from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Direct guests to parking spaces.
  • Answer questions regarding parking procedures and event information.
  • Report unauthorized vehicles entering restricted areas.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of principles and processes of providing customer service.
  • Ability to communicate orally and deal effectively and diplomatically with the public, supervisors and fellow employees.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Work in inclement weather.
  • Be available to permit scheduling during weekdays, weekends, early mornings and holidays as assigned.

Supplemental Information

Environmental Conditions: Due to the nature of work assignments, incumbents work outside in inclement weather and in contact with grease, oil, smoke, fumes and gases.

Physical Conditions: Due to the nature of work assignments, incumbents stand and walk for extended periods of time.
