Logistics Specialist


Job Details

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and planning all aspects of the logistic supply chain operation within the specified area, including supplier compliance, warehousing, and goods delivery to the rig or other nominated destinations. This role involves close coordination with Freight Forwarders and internal stakeholders to ensure safe execution and alignment with business requirements. Effective communication, adherence to core values, and meeting set objectives and KPIs are essential aspects of the role.
Logistics Planning and Coordination:

  • Coordinate and plan logistics supply chain operations, including supplier compliance, warehousing, and goods delivery to designated destinations.
  • Ensure all tasks are planned safely to prevent injuries to personnel or equipment.
  • Act according to Noble's set of core values.
  • Communicate effectively and timely with rigs and stakeholders.
  • Ensure correct and sufficient documentation for all shipments using IFS and shipping documents.
  • Drive complex logistics solutions to meet business requirements.


Operational Tasks:

  • Create Transport Orders (TOs) and follow up with suppliers/forwarders.
  • Data entry and accuracy in IFS for Logistical functions.
  • Actively monitor invoice queues and resolve invoices promptly to ensure timely payment.
  • Evaluate Logistics Service Provider (LSP) quotes/cost sheets to ensure compliance with agreed tariffs and market standards and generate Purchase Orders accordingly.
  • Ensure all roles and responsibilities are performed in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).


Stakeholder Support and Communication:
  • Provide stakeholders with support and updates on shipment status as required.
  • Identify and address cost-saving opportunities and process improvement optimization.
  • Engage and assist with Project Logistics as needed.
  • Understand trade compliance rules, regulations, and laws, and collaborate with the Trade Compliance Team.
  • Participate in covering department Duty on Call as required by local regulations.
  • Stay updated on relevant guidelines and regulations for transporting goods, including Dangerous Goods, Inco terms, Export/Import Control.
  • Communicate effectively with regional counterparts and internal stakeholders regarding the status of air and ocean shipments.
  • Mitigate potential risks in the logistics operation.
  • Coordinate assigned air and ocean operational and out-of-gauge shipments with appointed third-party logistics providers (3PL).
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to ensure a supportive and efficient logistics operation.
  • Ensure transport costs are competitive relative to local market levels and align with global agreements.


Global Logistics Execution:
  • Plan and execute logistics globally, meeting KPIs and ensuring complete shipments in IFS.
  • Provide correct and sufficient documentation on all levels.
  • Assist in maintaining rig shipping profiles (RSP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Trade Compliance Watchlist.


Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • +2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, and transportation operations.
  • Proficiency in English (B1+) both written and spoken.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of trade compliance rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Ability to effectively manage complex logistics operations and mitigate potential risks.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and logistics software/systems.
  • Ability to travel as required for new warehouse setups or to enhance local knowledge.
