**Otak is hiring a Transportation CAD Designer/Drafter with direct experience in the Transportation/Civil Engineering field. Your experience must include: design of transportation infrastructure (e.g., roadways/trails, site development, stormwater, and/or bridges) , plan preparation, specifications, contract documents and/or other transportation/civil engineering processes.**

The Transportation CAD Designer/Drafter will add to our culture, is inspired by performing quality work, and wants to create sustainable infrastructure. This opportunity allows you to work on a wide variety of projects including: roadway design, active transportation including paths, pedestrian underpasses and pedestrian bridges, streetscapes, site development; vehicular bridges; and construction management. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with an enthusiastic, team-oriented attitude and advanced level design and drafting proficiency.

**What youll do:**

* Prepare standard engineering drawings, documents, layouts, sketches, maps and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided design software and under direct supervision of professional staff.

* Perform design services related to transportation design, site layout, grading, stormwater management and erosion control in conformance with local, state and federal regulations.

* Analyze reports, maps, drawings, tests, aerial photographs of terrain, existing and proposed characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.

* Assist project managers in preparation of drawing packages, project construction estimates, and bid item review.

**What you bring:**

* One-year Certification or an Associate degree in Drafting Technology or CADD Technology, or equivalent demonstrated experience in a civil engineering field.

* Minimum three (3) years experience in a civil engineering field, that includes experience in design of transportation infrastructure (e.g., roadways/trails, site development, stormwater, and/or bridges) , plan preparation, specifications, contract documents and/or other civil engineering processes.

* Must have experience working in a transportation or civil engineering field.

* Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or MicroStation is required.

* Ability to work collaboratively within a creative, professional, team environment.

**Salary Range:** $29 - $40/hour
