Precision Pulley and Idler, Co. , a worldwide industry leader in conveying components, is seeking a Sales Manager to join their team for their Louisiana area territory.

Essential duties/responsibilities:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company s customer base and ensures a strong company presence with current and future companies to grow our business
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding our customers needs
  • Present sales reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Responsibilities relative to each assigned customer account includes sales growth, profit margins, quotation follow-up, product training, and frequent personal visits
  • Work directly with corporate decision makers and outside sales to maintain and grow existing and new business.
  • Work with estimating, engineering and outside sales to improve communications, improve order close rate, and provide a professional customer presentation of package quotes.
  • Apply verbal and written communication skills to internal and external customer interactions.
  • Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player.
  • Maintain a team environment with other departments.
  • Continually exhibit the qualities of trustworthiness and a strong work ethic.
  • In conjunction with the Divisional Sales Manager and associated Managers, assist with the development and formulation of short- and long-range plans, policies, programs, operating procedures and objectives.
  • 50% travel domestically may be required, including the ability to drive and/or fly for extended periods.
  • Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
  • Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.
  • Submit all required reports and expenses within the required guidelines and time frame.
