The Night Shift Custodian is responsible for cleaning across various Eastern locations. Duties include cleaning production areas, ensuring proper disposal of all waste, and maintaining accurate cleaning logs for each location cleaned. This career requires previous commercial cleaning experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The shift will be 5pm-1:30am
* Responsible for cleaning across various Eastern locations.
* Notifies supervisor when cleaning supplies need to be replenished.
* Responsible for cleaning production areas, offices, restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, etc.
* Ensures proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste according to facility guidelines.
* Follows all operating procedures for custodial equipment.
* Uses appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants to sanitize surfaces, equipment, and floors.
* Maintains accurate cleaning logs and records for each location cleaned.
* Monitors and restocks cleaning supplies and equipment.
* Ensures all cleaning materials are stored properly and secured.
* Notifies supervisor of when any equipment is damaged in order to be fixed or replaced.
* Coordinates with direct supervisor to schedule cleaning tasks without disrupting production activities.
* Other job duties as assigned.
III. Required Skills / Abilities
* Valid driver's license
* Experience with Commercial floor scrubbers and/or walk behind ride on machine
* Experience with commercial Walk behind/Ride on floor cleaning machines.
* Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Effective communication both written and verbal.
* Ability work independently as well as in a team environment.
* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to travel to various locations with reliable transportation.
IV. Education & Experience
* High School diploma or GED equivalent.
* Previous commercial cleaning experience required.
* Strong knowledge of cleaning projects and cleaning procedures.
* Experience with commercial walk behind/ride on floor cleaning machines.
* Valid driver's license.
V. Other Job Demands
Work is generally performed throughout our Camden, NJ, locations. Working hours may vary and evening or weekend work may be required. You may be required to stand long periods of time. You will be required to lift up to fifty pounds. You may be working near moving mechanical parts and will be in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions.
