SpineSearch is seeking to fill a Physician Assistant opening to join a leading private spine practice based in Suffolk County, NY.
Position is full time, Monday through Friday - offers a competitive salary based on experience, a full suite of benefits, and room for growth.
Requirements of the Physician Assistant:
- Master's Degree
- New York Physician Assistant license
- Board certification
- Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant in spine, ortho, neuro, pain or related specialty
Responsibilities of the Physician Assistant:
- Conducts physical exams, assesses health status, orders, and interprets tests, prescribes medications, and treats illnesses including giving injections.
- Take a patient s medical history/record demographics
- Order and interpret tests
- Conduct physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat illnesses
- Write prescriptions
- Counsel patients on preventative care
- Involves seeing patients in outpatient clinic and first assisting in the OR on orthospine cases
