Position Summary:

Are you interested in working for UDRI, a national leader in scientific and engineering research, serving government, industry and nonprofit customers? Our Sensor and Software Systems division invites qualified candidates to apply for our Software Engineer opening!

The primary purpose of this position is to be a leading contributor on a software development team. The Programmer Technician will work with other team members that are peers and senior to themselves. Primary responsibilities include all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements design, development, integration, and testing. This position requires the person to interface and communicate with the client(s) in a professional manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of three years of directly related experience is required at the R2 level.
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC web application development, including websites/APIs/etc.
- Experienced with applications such as Git, Microsoft DevOps, and unit testing frameworks.
- Experienced with data handling processes and procedures under The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Experienced with automated texting service APIs (Twilio, Slooce, etc.).
- Experienced with mass emailing APIs like SendGrid.
- Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

- Experience with Typescript, Angular, and React.
- Experience with DevExpress components.
- Experience with microservice architectures and Docker.
- Experience building end to end solutions for the Azure Cloud platform.
- Familiarity with REST API architectures.
- Familiarity with unit testing within C# and typescript.
- Familiarity with Mac OS X platform and development tools Experience with Node.js.
- Experience building and installing native Windows/Android/iOS apps.
- Knowledge of Modbus Understanding or experience with business intelligence analytic tools.
