Maintenance Electrician - Job Summary:
We re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer of automotive components based in Macomb, Michigan who are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Electrician will have experience of working within a high-volume automotive parts manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot machine problems and complete repair maintenance activities
- Wire equipment
- Maintain electric spare part inventory
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic problems
- PLC implementation
- PLC program management (work with Engineering on new and existing projects)
- Responsible for all facility electric
- Participate in implementation of automation
- Maintain MPM power to OSHA regulations
- Train maintenance personnel
- Project Management (APQP process)
- Follow Housekeeping, Safety (lockout/tagout) & Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills and programs)
- Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeeping
- Comply and participate in MPM housekeeping, safety and environmental polices
- Comply and participate in MPM housekeeping, safety and environmental policies
- Ensure compliance to all levels of the Quality and Environmental Systems
- Other duties as defined by your manager
About You:
- Working knowledge of Fanuc Controls and RS Logix 5000 preferred
- Experience with CNC and gear cutting equipment, and heat treat equipment
- Basic electric and controls background (wiring, power requirements, control logic)
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic problems and existing installations
