Job Details
Provides for clean, safe, and attractive facility in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Performs routine 10-step cleaning of patient and non-patient areas. Dry mops, wet mops, and sanitizes hard floor surfaces. Vacuums all carpeted areas as needed. Performs discharge and terminal cleaning of precaution rooms, including wall washing and cubical cleaning as needed. Follows patient safety protocol. Removes and transports trash from assigned areas. Completes daily assignments within shift hours. Empties trash and laundry bags as needed and transports to designated areas as assigned. Moves equipment and beds as needed. Maintains equipment in good, clean, working order. Reports equipment problems and safety hazards to Supervisor on a timely basis. Performs room set-up and break-down for hospital meetings and functions. Cleans the operating suites as described in departmental policies and procedures, as assigned.
