Customer Service Responsibilities:Greets all staff, physicians and visitors presenting to the department/unit with warm, friendly customer service interactions. Facilitates inquiries from family to patient related to their delivery status or condition while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Creates a positive service-focused experience with each patient/family interaction. Serves as an ancillary support/resource to staff, physician and visitors, reporting directly to Nurse Manager or designee. Assists physician and staff with locating necessary patient records and clinical resources/physicians. Serves as point of contact for physicians and their respective office staff. Handles all telephone communication for the unit including placing and receiving calls from physicians, other departments and visitors. Routes calls to appropriate staff, takes accurate messages and relays messages to staff.
