JOB SUMMARY

The Data Literacy & Community Lead will drive the design and implementation of data-centric programs which will support our colleagues ability to read, write, and communicate with data, in tight partnership with our Learning & Development and Communications teams. Our Data Literacy program seeks to support colleagues at all levels, from frontline work to executive leadership and drives the understanding how data connects to a colleagues role and supports our enterprise in actively managing and improving the input and use of data, following our Data Policy & Standards, and adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements. As the Data Literacy Program Lead, you will own a plan for engagement, communications, and development of data-centric curriculum and also be a key partner for our Segment Data Offices to support their segment specific communications and training.

In addition, you will design and facilitate three distinct communities of practice: the Data Community of Practice, the Analytics Community of Practice, and the Product Owner Community of Practice. Your primary goal will be to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning among the members of these communities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Owns, develops, and communicates the overall Data Literacy Strategy throughout the enterprise.
  • Drives the design, development, launch, and management of our first Data Literacy program.
  • Engages our Learning & Development and Communications teams in the communications, planning, and implementation of Literacy efforts.
  • Ensures the development of on-line learning and workshops tie back to specific personas. Manages the mapping of educational content to data personas (e.g., frontline colleagues, data practitioners, managers, and leadership).
  • Drives the alignment of literacy efforts to legal, compliance, regulatory, and internal standards.
  • Manages development, launch, and tracking of key metrics to measure the success of Literacy efforts.
  • Establish the vision, goals, and operating model for each of the Communities of Practice (CoP).
  • Collaborate with the data analytics team leadership to align CoP activities with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Recruit and onboard new CoP members, ensuring diverse participation across the organization team.
  • Facilitate regular CoP meetings, workshops, and events to encourage active engagement. Identify and invite subject matter experts to lead discussions, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Curate and share relevant content, tools, and resources with the CoP members. Capture and disseminate the collective knowledge and insights generated within the communities.
  • Monitor CoP health and engagement and implement strategies to maintain momentum.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position may have direct reports depending on the project and organizational structure.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Organizational Management, Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years related experience
  • Experience working in a data and analytics environment with a minimum of 5 years of experience in data strategy, data management, data quality, and/or data governance.
  • 5+ years of applied experience designing, solving, managing, facilitating, and delivering business impact with data, analytics, and impactful communications.
  • Knowledgeable of data management and governance policies, standards, metrics, controls, and processes. Strong familiarity with data and analytics terminology and methodology.
  • Experience with learning and development strategies (ex: instructional design/content development/facilitation and delivery).
  • Ability to craft a clear and compelling case for change and vision for the future
  • Versed on industry best practices, tools, techniques, and frameworks for data management and governance
  • Ability to manage stakeholders with diverse data interests and make actionable recommendations
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to translate information to all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with internal stakeholders from various parts of the organization and achieve successful outcomes cross-functionally
  • Experienced in developing high-impact workshops- both in-person and virtually
  • Background in project management and/or Agile methodology
  • 3+ years of experience in a community management or knowledge sharing role, preferably within a data analytics or technology-focused environment.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in using collaboration tools, such as discussion forums, video conferencing, and project management platforms.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required daily to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday; and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate is occasionally required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis).
