Job Description

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for receiving and pulling parts for associated orders and staging parts in the assembly area. The Inventory Control Specialist also performs cycle counts and reports the counts to Purchasing and Inventory Manager. Accuracy and communication are critical traits required for this role. May also be asked to assist in Assembly when required.

Responsibilities

  • Checking, counting, and updating system with incoming product and parts.
  • Operate a forklift safely.
  • Put away parts to its stocking locations and pick associated parts needed for manufacturing.
  • Replenish empty Kanban bins and make associate transactions in the ERP system.
  • May assist in placing incoming items in inventory.
  • Conduct cycle counts as required.
  • Make Will-Call trips to pickup and deliver parts as needed.
  • Sweeping and general housekeeping.
  • Assists assembly department if needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
IDEAL Candidate Attributes
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 2+ years of inventory control or material handling experience.
  • Excel and Microsoft application experience.
  • ERP System experience preferred.
  • Able to understand Engineering drawings.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Must be able to balance multiple priorities.
  • Proven Communication Skills.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

    Working Conditions
  • Plant environment with periodic visits to the office area.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay: $17 per hour and up (depending on experience)

Location: US-UT-Salt Lake City

Schedule: Full-time

Shift: 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday (Preferred)
