Sterile Processing Technician Responsibilities

Sterile Processing Technician will clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
Assemble and package surgical instrument trays and sets
The Sterile Processing Technician will follow proper aseptic technique to prevent infection
Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure sterile supplies are readily available for surgical procedures
Sterile Processing Technician will adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the handling and disposal of hazardous materials

Sterile Processing Technician Skills

Minimum of three years sterile processing experience
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRSCT) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or a similar active certification
Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
Strong understanding of sterile processing techniques and procedures
Knowledge of physiology to understand the purpose and function of surgical instruments
Ability to operate sterilization equipment effectively and safely
Attention to detail to ensure proper cleaning, assembly, and packaging of surgical instruments
