Job Details
Under general supervision, this position will collect solid waste as a member of a solid waste collection crew. Performs various manual tasks at Rolling Meadows and the shop, as assigned. Learns to operate the packer controls of a solid waste truck. Responsible for understanding and following safe operations procedures, work rules and county/department policies and procedures. Performs other duties as required. NOTE: Intermittent positions are allowed to work up to 988 hours per year and may be ended prior to that without cause at Management's discretion. Intermittent positions are not eligible for benefits. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED Certificate. Required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
