The Role
The incumbent is responsible for resolving employee issues and problems that are presented to the department through our various channels, including phone, web, and email. Incumbent will resolve issues and problems that are reported directly by the employees, and will also be responsible for resolving time-sensitive issues being reported. Issues that will be resolved include, but may not be limited to: general employee issues or complaints, scheduling, initiating leaves of absences, troubleshooting computer programs (KIOSK), time and attendance and other administrative duties.

Key Accountabilities

Assist with various HR job functions including but not limited to:

Reviewing and preparing the employee schedules and replacing call-ins.
Answering phones, emails, radio.
Issuing Personal Protective Equipment
Answering employee questions
Updating attendance program and routing disciplinary forms
Review timekeeping system regarding hours worked by employees
Process vacation requests, PTO, and leaves of absence
Assist employees with initiating the FMLA/OFLA process.

Being a CHAMPION on enforcing Lamb Weston policies.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Skills & Experience

This position requires general office experience, excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills. A strong work ethic and employment history is highly desired. The incumbent must be self-motivated, organized, punctual, and accurate.
The incumbent must be a team player, and be willing to work in a team environment.

The following are required but not limited to:

  • High degree of customer service orientation a must.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills a must, both in communicating directly with employees and plant management.
  • Experience in troubleshooting computer hardware and software problems.
    Flexibility in working hours.
  • Ability to work in a high volume call environment.
Education
  • General office experience or training is required. On the job training will be provided and validated in accordance with skills training and evaluations.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Administrative work experience in a Human Resources department preferred.
Competencies
  • Must have basic reading and writing skills.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Office: Word, Power Point, and Excel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods at a time. The employee is regularly using repetitive motion with hands to handle operate office equipment; reach with hands and arms. The employee is seldom required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $40,220.00 - $60,340.00
