Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Tax projections and expert advice on tax planning strategies to optimize clients' tax positions.
• Preparation of personal and business tax returns for clients in multiple States.
• Complete, review, and analyze tax documentation for business and personal returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Supervise and provide guidance to a team of remote tax staff, ensuring that accuracy and deadlines are met.
• Provide GAAP and policy support, performance management, ongoing training and development, goal setting, and support for continued team growth.
• Leading tax engagements and communicating directly with clients throughout the year.
• Communicate progress of engagements, issues, and resolutions to clients through written and verbal correspondence.
• Resolving back tax issues and communicating with the IRS if needed.
• Lead tax kick-off meetings and onboarding calls with clients.

Qualifications:

• Must have a CPA or EA Certification
• Experience and knowledge in preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Experience and knowledge in tax planning and multi-state issues.
• We prefer someone who has a minimum of 5-years experience working with multiple clients, and at least a bachelors or masters in Accounting/Business.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with willingness to meet with clients in an advisory capacity.
• Possess the ability to utilize, and develop an advanced understanding of various tax programs and software.
