Job Responsibilities

- Responsible for specific web design and application development task assisting with department activities. Works with third-party vendors when necessary. Designs, codes test, deploys, debugs, documents, maintains, and modifies front- end websites, applications, queries, and services to improve the usability and appearance of digital assets. Coordinates with marketing to sustain SCC's brand on the website and other web technologies/platforms.

- Enhances user experience by designing and building mobile responsive websites, pages, and application and creating information architecture and navigation suitable for any device. Enforces policies and best practices in design and development methodology, architecture, security, change and configuration management, and all standards compliance, including accessibility and web usability.

-As the administrator for SCC's website and associated databases, application and services, maintaining staff permissions for all sites. Manages and monitors server performance, including scaling the website and servers as needed. Register and maintain domain names.

-Provides ongoing analysis and maintenance of the website. Supports faculty and staff with web content needs and updates (with proper approval). Analyzes feedback and bug reports directly form end users and troubleshoots and deploys fixes. Performs web content edits on all sites and applications.

-Other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

Bachelor's degree in communications, computer science, or a related field and experience in information technology. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for - year basis.
Preferred Qualifications

Minimum five years of web development/ managing experience, Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, organized, creative, and tech savvy, webmaster credentials or comparable experience.
