Pay: $18/hr
As a Forklift Operator, you'll be pivotal in the movement, storage, and organization of merchandise using material handling equipment. Your responsibilities will include operating sit-down and/or clamp forklifts safely and efficiently. Additionally, you may be required to fulfill order filler or checker duties.
Responsibilities:
- Stack and store merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
- Safely unload inbound shipments and transfer products to storage areas.
- Prepare and pull products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct picking duties efficiently, meeting customer service standards.
- Load product into trailers from staging or storage areas.
- Maintain equipment and follow prescribed work methods for safe operation.
- Keep records and reports for inventory control and security.
- Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Conduct cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Utilize RF scanning equipment for inventory accuracy.
Candidates for this position should ideally have a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 months of forklift or warehouse distribution experience. Physical endurance is crucial, with the ability to stand or walk for up to 10-12 hours and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Flexibility is key, as the role requires working in varied environments and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Possession of a forklift certification is mandatory, and attention to detail, excellent customer service, and basic math skills are preferred.
