SUMMARY: The Parts Clerk is responsible for the receipt, verification, labeling, storage, and security of all parts and supplies in the Parts Room.
Parts Clerk major responsibilities:
Receive and ship parts from/to LTL shipments, courier's, FedEx and UPS
Provide good customer service to other employee
Maintain a clean and orderly parts room
Ensure accuracy and reliability of data entered into computer
Maintain files and records, providing reports as necessary
Order special (non-stock) parts for repair order
Manages the returns of cores and part
Monitor re-order levels and replenish inventory in order to maintain proper inventory level
Handling chemical
Cleaning glue component
Inventory
Complete all other assigned dutie
Look up parts from the OEM drawing
Nightly duties
Finish any receiving that was not completed during the day. All items that come in for a specific work order, an email must be sent out to the requesting person copy parts manager and other clerk
Complete the next inventory
Make sure packing tape is loaded on the cart and issued
Take empty crates to the open top that will not be used
Take empty pallets to the staging area designated by warehouse
Check for glue items in the ultrasonic and oven that need to be cleaned.
Back Sheet main conveyor belt should be cleaned with dry ice only so you will have multiple belt
Make sure hairnets and earplug dispensers are full (Not overfilled)
Daily clean-up of storeroom
Check levels of supplie
Check emails for orders that need to complete
Get quotes for items that need to be ordered if there is only one vendor
Parts coming back into the parts room tagged or returned to repair, ask the tech to make notes of why the part failed.
Nothing left on the table unless it is marked, an email must also be sent out so we know the details on it
All items issued and ordered if below the min/max
All chemical jugs/bottles must be filled and labeled
Cage area is to stay organized and clean
Once a week rag pick up (Wednesday night they should be collected and put in the receiving cage)
Check the outside cage area daily for items that were not there prior
Supplies stock in the cage area.
Parts Clerk requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Excellent communication with in house customers and external customer
Strong attention to detail
Able to work overtime as necessary to cover other shifts as needed.
Self-starter
Prior Reach truck and walkie rider experience a plu
Able to help or assist in heavy weighted part
Must be able to manage multiple request of different customers simultaneously
