The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in Californias Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services .
**Job Purpose**
Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment
**Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:**
* Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in receiving, storing and distributing of metals and purchased parts,
* Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
* Lifts heavy items and operate a forklift (standing up, sitting down rider, and hand pallet jack).
* Examines stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
* Assist with and perform other material handling duties.
* Follows all company and facility policies including quality, safety, conduct and attendance.
**Education and Experience:**
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Must be able to read and understand English
* Must be willing to work overtime and be flexible with schedule changes
* 2 years of material handler warehouse experience required
* Oracle/ShopVue experience preferred (some type of data entry experience needed)
* Packaging experience preferred
* Warehouse knowledge (i.e. pulling parts, transactions, etc.)
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs
* Forklift experience preferred.
