Environmental Specialist - Trinity Consultants Engineering & EHS Workforce Solutions

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement various environmental plans and response protocols.
Keep up to date with federal, state, and local environmental regulations by attending periodic training courses.
Participate as requested in environmental compliance and various other environmental matters.
Participate and/or direct EMS plant audits and activities.
Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, and corporate environmental policies and guidelines.
Maintain sites environmental files and reports.
Routinely update Environmental Management System (EMS)
Monitor and maintain Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
Manage and schedule waste transportation and disposal in accordance with regulations.
Maintain productive relationships with plant personnel and regulatory agency personnel.
Responsible for successfully communicating and executing company policies, programs, and procedures.
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize.
Work with outside consultants, contractors, and other resources.
Support staff at other company locations in the Western United States.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Biology, Engineering, or related field required
Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in environmental compliance areas including air (Title V), solid waste/hazardous materials management, radiation detection systems, and water quality management in a heavy industrial environment.
General knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and a familiarity with with heavy industrial operations.
Ability to obtain US EPA Method 9 Certification (Visible Emissions Certification) and other required training and keep up to date with the latest regulations.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
Excellent writing and computer skills including email and Microsoft software products (e.g., Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
Able to clearly communicate expectations, issues and feedback.
