Position Overview: As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of our company as we navigate the complexities of preparing for an IPO. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, and investor relations. You will work closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders to drive financial performance, optimize capital structure, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and long-range financial forecasting.
- Evaluate capital allocation strategies and investment opportunities to maximize shareholder value.

Financial Operations:
- Oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Implement robust internal controls and processes to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational needs and growth initiatives.

Investor Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the investment community to effectively communicate the company's financial performance and growth prospects.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for quarterly earnings calls, investor conferences, and roadshows.

Strategic Partnerships and M&A:
- Evaluate strategic partnerships, collaborations, and potential M&A opportunities to accelerate growth and enhance market position.
- Conduct financial due diligence and analysis to assess the financial implications of potential transactions.

Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including SEC filings, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and tax obligations.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks through effective risk management practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA Required.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in financial leadership roles. Experiencein the life sciences or biotechnology industry is a must.
- Extensive knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and IPO processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Previous experience with IPO Readiness & Execution.
