Crane Crew Mechanic

Job Responsibilities

  • Travel to job sites to assist in safely assembling and disassembling company-owned and rented cranes.
  • Work with A/D director to learn assembly and disassembly of the different cranes we move and work towards an AD Director Certification.
  • Making mechanical repairs to cranes and crane components as needed.
  • Driving a service vehicle to different work locations.
  • Perform monthly and annual inspections on cranes once they are assembled.
Qualifications/ Requirements
  • Must be willing to travel and stay away from home for days and in some cases weeks at a time.
  • Basic rigging skills at a minimum and a willingness to learn.
  • 5 years of experience in the heavy construction industry.
  • Crane signal person certification or be willing to obtain.
  • Crane operator certification from an accredited organization (NCCCO, NCCER) preferred.
  • Basic mechanic tools.
  • Driver's license.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • S/he must pay attention to detail, be a self-starter, and be able to communicate effectively with clients and peers.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
