Primary Duties

  • Inspects and tests company vehicles, company box trucks, and company tractor trailers.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot/diagnose truck engine and emission systems.
  • Utilize scanning tools.
  • Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
  • Complies with state vehicle and DOT vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock and placing orders for necessary parts.
  • Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
  • Perform all other related duties and assignments as needed.


Minimum Requirements

Physical Requirements
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Capability to stand in one place for 80% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
  • Capability to walk throughout department for 20% of the shift (8+ hours per day)
  • Capability to lift to 100 lbs. on a frequent basis with reasonable accommodation.
  • Requires the frequent use of both hands and arms
  • Capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift (8+ hours per day)
  • Must be able to work in a Safety Sensitive Position.

Other Requirements
  • 1+ years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Must possess a valid CDL A license or be willing to obtain
  • CDL B /PA state inspection license is a plus
  • ASE Diesel Certification an asset
  • Knowledge of refrigeration: reverse and cold plate refrigeration, and Thermal King Unit refrigeration a plus
  • Military Experience Welcome
