Are you passionate about the construction industry and enjoy leading and overseeing projects? We are a leading construction company seeking an experienced Grading Foreman to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets achievement.
Responsibilities:
As a Foreman, your tasks will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
2. Supervising and coordinating the work of construction workers and subcontractors.
3. Ensuring work is carried out in compliance with the company's procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.
4. Planning and scheduling work sequences in line with project requirements.
5. Inspecting and reviewing the work performed by the crew and correcting any deviations.
6. Performing tasks related to excavation, mass grading, and asphalt operations.
7. Preparing daily reports detailing the work done, resources utilized, and any issues encountered.
8. Resolving any problems that may arise during construction.
9. Training and mentoring crew members to foster a high-performance team.
10. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in excavation, mass grading, and asphalt operations.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment.
5. A solid understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
6. The ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. A high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
10. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different job sites.
