Full job description
We are looking for a qualified, motivated individual with cannabis industry experience to join our team.

The job will entail working with the lab manager to create and implement production schedules, maintaining equipment in proper working order, maintaining inventory of products, ingredient and laboratory supplies, enforcing proper safety protocols and maintaining lab cleanliness. Product production will entail formulation of bulk vape oil.

  • Clean and sanitize extraction equipment and laboratory areas
  • Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and spot clean as necessary
  • Assisting in packaging socks
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste

Requirements:
  • General cannabis extraction experience, including, but not limited to, short-path distillation equipment, large scale extractors, rotary evaporators, vacuum ovens, lab scales, various diaphragm and rotary vane pumps, short path and wiped film distillation apparatus.
  • Knowledge and experience with safely handling highly explosive and/or flammable solvents.
  • Knowledge and experience with using proper personal protective equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience with the state METRC system.
  • Basic math skills and experience with Excel or a similar spreadsheet program.
  • Expected workweek of 40 hours, but must be able to work 45-50 hours per week as needed.
  • Able to work between the hours of 8am-6pm.
  • Able to work well with others and de-escalate conflict.
  • Knowledge in the fields of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or related fields is a plus, but qualified applicants lacking a formal degree will still be considered and are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to follow lab safety, preventative maintenance, and behavioral policies
  • Experience handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous waste
  • Ability to work independently and in group settings
  • Ability to follow a weekly production schedule
  • Must be at least 21 years or older
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check annually to ensure compliance within Cannabis Control Commission and Fine Fettle set regulations

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
  • May be exposed to extreme temperatures
  • Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Will be exposed to cannabis and cannabis products while onsite
  • May be exposed to company-approved chemicals for sanitation and production purposes
  • May be required to bend, squat, kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, complete repetitive hand movements, and/or walk intermittently throughout the day
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
  • Frequent bending and moving from sitting to standing and reverse
