Maintenance Technician

Description:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the following daily tasks.

  • Maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the property sites.
  • Organize, coordinate and manage maintenance programs including turnovers, timely work order service, and cost-effective inventory control of the properties.
  • Responsible for routine inspections, tenant improvements and providing positive tenant experiences.

Requirements:

Availability

  • Workdays are typically Monday through Friday. On Call weekend and evening hours for after-hour maintenance emergencies.

Experience/Skills

  • One-year maintenance experience.
  • General apartment maintenance experience, knowledge of appliance repair, light carpentry, plumbing and electrical knowledge, safety conscious, and dependable, ability to work with pressure of deadlines.
  • Phone and Tablet Capable
  • Verbal Communication skills
  • Goal oriented, flexible, resourceful, and able to work as part of a team and work individually.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed at rental properties.
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs. necessary for installation and removal of appliances.
  • Must provide own basic tools and ability to operate hand tools to make repairs.
  • Ability to kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, etc. to reach items in need of repairs.
  • Ability to drive to and from job sites; vehicle to be provided for travel to properties.
  • Tolerance to all extremes of hot and cold weather.
  • Requires phone and computer use.
