Currently offering a $15,000 Sign-On Bonus to those new to state service with a one year written agreement.

Eastern State Hospital, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, was founded in 1773, with a well-intentional emphasis on community focused mental health care. ESH invites applications for the position of Registered Nurse II. This position is open to the International Nurse Program nurses.

We are currently hiring for 12-hour shifts: D/E 7:00 a.m. 7:30 p.m. or E/N 7:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m.

The Registered Nurse, Sr. will utilize knowledge base and experience, provide quality nursing care to adult and geriatric psychiatric patients through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policy and procedure and standards of nursing practice. Evaluates, supervises, documents and provides guidance in performance of staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Current Virginia license to practice as a Registered Nurse or license eligible; multi-state compact endorsement accepted.

These positions are hourly/wage and not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
