The Law Offices of Hanna Brophy was established 75 years ago and provides Workers' Compensation Defense legal services to employers and insurance companies throughout California. The New File Clerk position supports all office locations in a variety of legal and administrative functions relating to new file processing.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, describe and capture to Pulse large volumes of new file documents daily by sections.
  • Properly identify different types of documents, which may require date order organization.
  • Set up new files in Aderant by properly entering in all information correctly. This includes research to find all pertinent information.
  • Data entry and document processing
  • Sorting legal documents
  • Perform other office duties as assigned

Skills

  • Able to prioritize large number of tasks.
  • Answering various emails from clients and attorneys/staff regarding questions and concerns.
  • Be able to type up to 55 wpm accurately.
  • Able to pay close attention to detail with minimal mistakes.
  • Team player who can switch tasks when needed or asked.
  • Working knowledge of office devices and processes
  • Work independently
  • High school diploma

Experience:
  • Workers Compensation: 1-2 years (Required)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
