NWN664 - Journeyman Maintenance

Job Details

1. Performs all duties (repair, corrective, projects, and PM s) in an urgent, but safe manner
2. Develops and recommends changes to proactive programs to increase machine uptime
3. Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials
4. Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs and encoders
5. PLC programs, ability to troubleshoot ladder logic (read and troubleshooting) components (CPU back planes, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communication s modules (Ethernet)
6. Mentors junior technicians by motivating, providing guidance and directions to help them achieve their goals
7. Develops and maintains a good working relationship across all levels in the organization
8. Strong demonstrated ability with understanding electrical schematics, control logic, volt and ohm meter use
9. Completes all safety training as assigned by the company and complies with all safety programs, policies, and procedures
10. Performs additional duties that may be required by management from time to time
11. Able to work scheduled shift, including overtime
12. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two-year technical mechatronics degree preferred
• Six years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment as a maintenance technician
• Computer skills: Intermediate computer knowledge, at an intermediate level in working with Microsoft Windows to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
