Assistant Kitchen Manager

Our client is a regional, cuisine driven, polished casual restaurant company in search of like-minded restaurateurs to join their team. Modern comfort food unique to the area, full-service bars with specialty cocktails, wines and regional craft beers all served in a fun, friendly, professional, and comfortable atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Help lead the way in our scratch kitchen, where we produce uniquely inspired culinary items.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Kitchen Manager to drive operational excellence and growth, while coaching and inspiring our culinary team to ensure high quality food and an exceptional guest experience.
  • Direct kitchen operations, and day-to-day execution for dish, prep, and line stations.
  • Adhere to policies, manage assigned operating systems and area of assigned responsibility.
  • Ensure collaboration between kitchen and front of house operations.
  • Oversee kitchen training, food execution, menu rollouts and system initiatives.
  • Conduct line checks, create prep lists, oversee supply ordering, and inventory management.
  • Be accountable for depth of knowledge in food preparation and quality.
  • Assist with weekly inventory procedures.
  • Be responsible for maximizing financial and operational results.
  • Review schedules.
  • Develop and retain team members.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment and uphold food safety standards.
  • Represent the brand and values and maintains a professional image.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of kitchen / culinary supervision management experience. Scratch kitchen experience preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavors, with a passion for innovation and creativity.
  • Demonstrates financial acumen
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, POS System, Inventory / Ordering software.
  • ServSafe certification.
  • Flexible work schedule, inclusive of weekends and holidays.
  • 5-day work week, 2 days off.

Compensation: Base salary range: $55-65K + up to 30% annual incentives based on restaurant performance. Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Matching 401(K), Long-Term Disability; Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Basic Life and Insurance, paid vacation, relocation assistance.
