LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Construction Estimator for one of our esteemed clients, a leading privately held construction company specializing in multi-trade projects.


Job Title: Construction Estimator

Location: Onsite near Apopka, Florida

Job Description: The chosen candidate will hold a pivotal role in our construction projects, ensuring timely and precise project cost budgets. Using standardized CSI format and historical data, the Construction Estimator will meticulously prepare detailed cost estimates for all project aspects, aligning closely with company objectives. Responsibilities include managing plans and specifications, as well as reviewing and defending budget summaries with supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for proposed construction projects, incorporating quantity take-offs and subcontractor evaluations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to establish project scopes and requirements.
  • Expedite project cost budgets using historical data and vendor proposals.
  • Manage plans and specifications as directed.
  • Review and defend budget summaries with supervisors to ensure project goals alignment.
  • Maintain current unit prices and adjust as necessary based on market fluctuations.
  • Incorporate existing vacancy conditions into budget and estimates.

Qualifications:

  • Construction or related degree preferred, or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of commercial estimating experience, preferably with a general contractor or developer.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask with meticulous attention to detail within time constraints.
