Job Details
An established Brooklyn-based mechanical service contractor providing on-call repairs, replacement, and troubleshooting services on numerous types of electro-mechanical equipment to New York City Agencies. Looking for experienced mechanics able to perform many of the following services:
Job Purpose:
Maintains and repairs facility heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. Troubleshoot automatic temperature controls and centrifugal pumps. Also repair commercial washers and dryers, hydraulic lifts, trash compactors, floor cleaning machines, and electric utility vehicles.
Maintains, repairs, and replaces rolling gates, sliding gates, bifold gates, lift gates, swing doors, sliding and swinging detention doors.
Duties:
Keeps all types of industrial equipment operational by providing preventive maintenance, completing repairs, and installing replacement parts.
Troubleshoot issues on equipment and determine required work and needed parts.
Complete worksheets, documenting work performed, and parts used.
Skills/Qualifications:
Experienced working on many different types of industrial electro-mechanical equipment used in a large facility.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of electromechanical equipment.
Strong Electrical background, & Machining a Plus.
Must have valid driver's license with good driving record.
OSHA 30 Hour Training Certificate is mandatory. FDNY Certificate of Fitness for Torch Use of Flammable Gases (G-60).
Speak, and write English fluently, and must be legal to work in the US.
Experienced working on gates, doors, and associated controls.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of gates and doors.
Be a good welder and have a valid NYC Welder's license.
Strong Electrical background, & Machining a Plus.
