What's involved in this role:
We are looking for an IT Operations Technician in Lake Norden, SD for plant production IT support.
- Maintain infrastructure, including preventive maintenance and cleaning MDFs/IDFs
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records for all local IT assets
- Work in partnership with local Automation (OT) team. Build and maintain strong synergy between IT and OT
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of hardware and software
- Isolate, reproduce and analyze a wide range of complex technical issues and drive their resolution, either directly or through escalation depending on urgency and complexity.
- Resolve incidents and requests in a timely manner to eliminate downtime and prevent cost overruns
- Support local and global IT projects.
- Communicate effectively with supervisor and plant operational leaders.
- Monday - Friday with occasional on-call
- 100% onsite work
What you need to join our team:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience as a technical advisor required.
- Experience in a plant/manufacturing environment preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Where you'll be working:
Our Lake Norden, SD, plant is home to about 400 employees and boasts a brand new, state-of-the-art cheese and whey facility. The facility produces monterey jack, muenster, asiago, mozzarella, parmesan, provolone, cheddar and romano cheeses, as well as various whey streams.
